Job description

Growth & Community Activation Manager

About the Role

Location: Lagos, Nigeria (Hybrid) Travel: (Up to 50%)

Krowdshield is redefining community safety through real-time incident reporting, predictive intelligence, and AI-powered insights. As we prepare to launch our MVP beta across gated communities and campuses, we're looking for a Growth & Community Activation Manager to own early-stage growth and engagement end to end.

This role blends growth marketing, online community building, email communications, and on-the-ground activation. You'll be responsible for building awareness, trust, and sustained engagement — both digitally and in person — city by city.

You'll design and execute grassroots growth strategies, grow and manage email-based communities, run field activations, manage ambassadors, and ensure all communications are executed responsibly and in compliance with marketing regulations. This is a hands-on, entrepreneurial role for someone who thrives in early-stage environments.

This is a contract-to-hire role (initial 3-month contract) with potential to convert to full-time based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Growth Strategy & Campaign Execution

  • Translate MVP launch and beta growth strategy into weekly execution plans, calendars, and campaign checklists.
  • Own organic and grassroots growth efforts across digital and in-person channels.
  • Refine and maintain consistent brand messaging across email, social, community platforms, and field activations.
  • Plan and execute a 30-day launch countdown campaign across online and offline channels.

Online Community Building & Email Marketing

  • Build and grow Krowdshield's online community through email communications, social platforms, and invite-only groups.
  • Own the end-to-end email marketing lifecycle, including:

-Managing subscriber lists and segments

-Creating and sending campaign and community emails (beta invites, updates, event announcements)

-Coordinating newsletters, launch updates, and ambassador communications

  • Maintain accurate and organized email lists, ensuring:

-Proper opt-in and consent management

-Clear unsubscribe mechanisms

-Adherence to applicable marketing and communication regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM and related standards)

  • Monitor email engagement metrics (open rates, click-throughs, replies) and optimize messaging accordingly.

Community & Campus Activation (In-Person)

  • Lead Krowdshield activations within gated communities, estates, and university campuses.
  • Build trusted relationships with residents, student leaders, school administrators, and community security stakeholders.
  • Host and facilitate:

-Community info sessions

-Product demos

-Small in-person and virtual events

  • Act as the face of Krowdshield during field activations, clearly and confidently communicating the value of the platform.
  • Collect real-time feedback from community members to inform product and rollout improvements.

Ambassador & Advocacy Program

  • Recruit, onboard, and manage early ambassadors and community advocates.
  • Identify and nurture power users who can drive organic growth within their communities.
  • Develop ambassador toolkits, talking points, and content to support local outreach.
  • Highlight ambassadors through email, social content, and community communications.

Social Media & Content (Organic)

  • Own Krowdshield's organic social media presence (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn).
  • Plan, create, and schedule content (minimum 2–3 posts/week), including:

-Community stories

-Field activations

-Ambassador highlights

-Educational product content

  • Monitor channels daily and engage with comments, DMs, and user-generated content.
  • Track performance metrics to inform content and engagement strategy.

Field Marketing & Grassroots Activation

  • Organize and execute Krowdshield's presence at local events, farmers markets, school gatherings, and partner locations.
  • Coordinate distribution of flyers, posters, and promotional materials.
  • Support vendor coordination for signage, branded materials, and event logistics.
  • Tailor engagement strategies to different community types and local contexts.

  • Manage two-way communication with users via email, social platforms, WhatsApp groups, and in-person interactions.

Track and report weekly on KPIs including:

  • Share qualitative insights and feedback with product, field strategy, and leadership teams.

Qualifications
