About the Role

We're looking for an AI/LLM Engineer to join a fast-growing technology team thats building cutting-edge solutions across the healthcare, legal, and insurance industries. In this role, you'll focus on prompt engineering, fine-tuning large language models, running experiments, and applying the latest in AI research to real-world applications. Responsibilities

  • Engineer LLM prompts using techniques like instruction tuning, chain-of-thought, and automated prompt engineering
  • Train and fine-tune LLMs with parameter-efficient and few/medium-shot approaches
  • Run experiments and present results with clear, data-driven insights
  • Stay actively engaged with research literature and emerging AI technologies
  • Work independently and manage deadlines while contributing to larger team goals
  • Apply AI/LLM innovations to practical, production-level use cases

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
  • Strong ability to implement and validate state-of-the-art algorithms
  • Experience with experiment design, analysis, and insight generation
  • Proficient in Python, R, GitHub, Minio, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL
  • Hands-on experience with deep learning tools (PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow)
  • Familiar with LLM libraries such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Haystack, DSPy
  • Knowledge of cloud and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker, Ray, Airflow, Conductor)
  • Solid grasp of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and passionate about staying ahead of industry trends

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters or PhD in NLP or Machine Learning
  • Demonstrated real-world projects using LLMs or related technologies
  • Several years of experience in AI/ML engineering

Additional Information:

  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9AM-5PM EST 
  • Full-Time: 40 hours per week
  • Type of Contract: Independent contractor
