Position: Expert Specialized Systems Engineer – PHP / Fortran / Slang
Type: Contract
Compensation: $100–200/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 20–40 hrs/week

Role Responsibilities

• Evaluate technical tasks in PHP, Fortran, or Slang against professional standards.
• Review intricate code-level situations and provide precise, structured assessments.
• Work in Docker environments, interpreting programmatic and CI-style checks.
• Provide clear written rationales explaining expert judgments.
• Complete well-defined, time-bounded tasks with explicit evaluation criteria.
• Stay flexible and available on weekends when needed to keep the project moving forward.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• 5+ years of professional or research experience in PHP, Fortran, or Slang.
• Comfort with Linux/Docker-based repo environments and CI checks.
• Ability to articulate code correctness and idiomatic usage clearly in writing.

Preferred

• Experience in web-platform, HPC/national-lab/academic, or graphics-research and game-engine backgrounds.
