Job Summary 

The Recovery Specialist is responsible for recovering medical payments when another party is responsible, handling complex injury cases including attorney-represented and litigated matters. 

 

LOCATION: This remote position requires that candidates reside in the following eligible states: Georgia, Florida, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Texas, Wisconsin, Michigan. 

Responsibilities 

  • Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate healthcare subrogation matters 
  • Understand and apply Medicare, Medicaid, ERISA, and related laws 
  • Research and interpret laws and regulations 
  • Conduct outbound calls and communicate with attorneys and insurers 
  • Document communications and maintain case activity records 
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance 
  • Participate in case reviews and strategy discussions 
  • Mentor other team members in subrogation skills 

Job Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • Understanding of subrogation principles and health/P&C insurance 
  • Strong negotiation skills 
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills 
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to change
