JOB MISSION:  

 

As part of the New Balance EMEA DTC Allocation Team, the retail allocator will have the responsibility of managing the distribution of merchandise to retail stores in a way that maximizes sales and meets customer demand. Reporting to the Allocation & Operations Manager, the Allocator will work closely with buying and planning teams to ensure that products are available in the right quantities and at the right time to meet consumer demand and drive business success. 

 

This is a 6-month fixed term contract position.  

 

 

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:  

  • Supporting the DTC team by replenishing stores stock using our replenishment system (APTOS). 

  • Review the weekly sales to ensure top up orders are actioned for the best sellers to maximize sales. 

  • Work closely with the store managers and area managers to review the weekly trade reports to help the store improve KPIs and performance. 

  • Close collaboration with the Buyer to build the product assortment for store openings, working towards store capacities and coordinating with logistics and store operations 

  • Connect with the Buyer on slow movers, high stocks and trade opportunities with proposals on how to maximize the potential. 

  • Review the weekly budgets for the stores to increase/decrease replenishment to support trade. 

  • Manage the store stock holding ensuring that stock levels are based on the store maximum capacity and option count and take action where necessary. 

  • Monitor the replenishment system to ensure effective stock and store distribution.  

  • Take ownership of the product assortments in the stores by introducing in season products and aged stock.  

  • Reviews the seasonal style allocation to the stores and plans them into the delivery schedules. 

  • Work closely with the Buyer & Planner on maximizing the inventory and sales on planned events and promotions.  

  • Provide stores with full visibility of incoming deliveries and mitigates problems via set communication channels  

  • Support the Full Price stores on the end of season transfers to the Factory Outlet stores. 

  • Conduct stock moves between wholesale/retail warehouses and stores to help improve sell through and increase profitability. 

  • Supporting the stores and wider team on price changes and returning stock to the warehouse. 

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:  

  • Previous retail allocation experience is needed.   

  • Commercial approach and analytical skills.  

  • Fluent in English and preferable in one more language. 

  • Able to work independently and under pressure.  

  • Attention to detail and highly organized.  

  • Advanced Excel skills.  

  • Strong communicator and great teammate.
