Sunquest Analyst (Testing Consultant)

Summary:

• Duration: ~3 months (June–September range)
• Work Mode: Remote
• Focus: Sunquest v2024.2 upgrade testing

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test scripts, test cases, and validation plans for Sunquest LIS workflows
• Perform functional, integration, and regression testing across laboratory modules (Gen Lab, Micro, Blood Bank, interfaces)
• Validate test results, reference ranges, flags, and workflows to ensure clinical accuracy
• Support defect tracking, triage, and resolution coordination with vendors and internal teams
• Ensure testing aligns with CAP, CLIA, and organizational validation requirements
• Support documentation for audit readiness, including test evidence and validation traceability
• Participate in validation sign-off processes
• Validate orderables, panels, and result structures, instrument interfaces, and middleware integrations
• Collaborate with SMEs to ensure workflows accurately reflect clinical operations
• Collaborate with laboratory SMEs (Core Lab, Blood Bank, Microbiology), IT application teams (interfaces), and vendors (e.g., Clinisys Sunquest)
• Participate in test cycles, status updates, and issue resolution meetings
• Maintain clear documentation and communication of testing progress and risks

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience with Sunquest LIS (Clinisys Sunquest preferred)
• Strong experience in LIS testing, validation, and QA methodologies
• Hands-on experience with laboratory workflows (Core Lab and/or Blood Bank preferred) and interface/instrument testing
• Experience supporting system upgrades or implementations
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools and structured testing processes

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Sunquest upgrades or multi-site implementations
• Experience in Blood Bank validation workflows
• Understanding of clinical regulatory requirements (CAP/CLIA)
