Quality Improvement Advisor (QIA) III, Chronic Disease Subject Matter Expert – Remote

The Quality Improvement Advisor III position is the client’s primary point of contact within Mountain Pacific for all activities including organizational communication, contract management, marketing of additional services and/or products, and dispute resolution. As such this position is responsible for establishing and communicating clear expectations on the roles and responsibilities to the client of the services Mountain Pacific will provide; ensures client expectations are met with a high degree of customer satisfaction. This position is responsible for meeting internal and external metrics associated with assigned contracts.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as the lead subject matter expert on chronic disease prevention and management (e.g., diabetes, chronic kidney disease, vaccinations, cardiovascular disease, etc.), providing evidence-based guidance to support a regional team as well as providers and stakeholders. 
  • Collaborate with state healthcare partners, systems, and drive measurable improvements in patient outcomes, while addressing unique state challenges.
  • Analyze state- and provider-level quality data, facilitate learning collaboratives, and provide technical assistance to facilities as they implement evidence-based practices.
  • Bring deep knowledge of state healthcare systems, experience in quality improvement methodologies, and strong relationship-building skills to effectively engage with partners and providers across the healthcare continuum while ensuring alignment with both state and federal healthcare quality objectives.

The QIA III, Prevention and Chronic Disease position is a full-time remote position in Alaska, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, or Wyoming. The successful candidate would have excellent written and verbal communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail. A minimum of 8 years' healthcare experience with preference in prevention and chronic disease, and 1 year of previous supervisory and/or leadership experience preferred. This position requires travel up to 15-60%. The target compensation for this position is $80,000 - $102,000 a year.
