Job description

A help desk job involves providing technical support and assistance to end-users who are experiencing computer-related issues. The job description may include tasks such as troubleshooting software and hardware problems, providing guidance on how to use computer programs, and resolving network connectivity issues. Help desk personnel must have excellent communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and strong problem-solving skills. 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite and remote Help Desk support for employees company wide. This may include, but is not limited to, resetting passwords, troubleshooting electronic equipment malfunction, adjusting end user account permissions across various platforms.

  • Assist with setup and maintenance of the equipment at the office. This includes, but is not limited to, setting up new computers and changing out equipment as needed.

  • Assist Sr Help Desk Agent with provisioning new accounts for various platforms as needed.

  • Prepare desktops for work from home employees and facilitate the pick up of the equipment at the office.

  • Verify that all equipment is accounted for when work from home employees return equipment set ups.

  • Check that returned equipment is in good working order.

  • Manage equipment inventory and keep accurate records of amounts and the status of equipment in storage.

  • Submit equipment purchase proposals to the IT Manager for review.

  • Assist with any onsite updates needed to equipment or Network infrastructure.

  • Receive shipments of new equipment at the office.

  • Assist with the management of iPads and Computers through Mobile Device Management.

Qualifications:

  • Ticket management experience

  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


Physical Requirements:

  • Required to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 25 pounds.
