Senior Consultant – Azure DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Consultant with a strong blend of Azure DevOps engineering and Agile project delivery using Jira to support client engagements across cloud, DevOps, and application delivery initiatives. This is a hands‑on consulting role focused on execution, delivery leadership, and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly with clients, delivering billable work, and balancing technical implementation with project coordination and Agile delivery responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Azure DevOps & Cloud Engineering (Billable Delivery)

• Design, implement, and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform)
• Configure Azure DevOps projects, repositories, pipelines, and permissions
• Support Azure workloads including App Services, AKS, Functions, SQL, and Storage
• Implement DevSecOps practices including approvals, security scans, and governance
• Troubleshoot pipeline, deployment, and environment issues
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to improve delivery efficiency

Agile Project Delivery & Jira Management

• Manage day‑to‑day delivery of client projects using Jira
• Configure Jira workflows, boards, dashboards, and reporting
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Standups, Reviews, Retrospectives)
• Translate client requirements into epics, user stories, and tasks
• Track scope, schedule, risks, and dependencies
• Provide regular delivery status updates to client stakeholders

Client Engagement & Consulting

• Work directly with client stakeholders to understand requirements and priorities
• Participate in discovery sessions, delivery planning, and backlog refinement
• Ensure delivery aligns with agreed scope, timeline, and quality expectations
• Identify risks early and escalate appropriately
• Contribute to a positive client experience and repeat business

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Azure DevOps, DevOps engineering, or cloud delivery
• 3+ years of experience managing Agile or IT projects using Jira
• Hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps Services
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks
• Experience working in client‑facing consulting or professional services roles
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Azure certifications (AZ‑400, AZ‑104, AZ‑305)
• Agile or project management certifications (CSM, PMI‑ACP, PMP, SAFe)
• Experience integrating Jira with Azure DevOps, GitHub, or ITSM tools
• Background in systems integrators or professional services organizations
