Data Engineering Lead (AWS)

We are recruiting a Data Engineering Lead (AWS) (m/f) to strengthen our team in USA working remotely.

Key Responsibilities (Summary):

Design and manage cloud-native data systems on AWS, building scalable architectures and data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform complex healthcare data. Develop reliable ETL processes, automate workflows, and optimize performance, cost, and efficiency of data platforms. Collaborate closely with business, product, and analytics teams to translate requirements into effective data solutions, while providing technical leadership and mentorship. Ensure strong data governance, security, and compliance with healthcare industry standards.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field;
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in data engineering or similar roles, with demonstrated technical leadership experience;
• Expertise in building and administering AWS-native data systems, including Redshift, Aurora, RDS PostgreSQL, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and MWAA (Airflow), with hands-on experience creating views, stored procedures, and triggers;
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, including advanced query design and database optimization;
• Mandatory experience working with healthcare data (e.g., Medical Claims, Rx Claims) or similar datasets;
• Ability to develop subject-matter expertise and effectively collaborate with business teams;
• Fluent in English (mandatory).
