Job description

This is a remote position.

Innosphere is seeking a Senior AI Platform Developer to join our team on a 3-month basis. In this role, you will provide senior-level hands-on engineering support for an existing internal audit and code-modification platform. The role is focused on system maintenance, operational improvements, GitLab pipeline execution, LLM/agentic workflow support, telemetry, logging, run management, and improving the developer experience for reviewing generated merge requests. This is not a re-architecture role; the ideal candidate can quickly execute against an existing backlog, support engineering teams, and improve reliability, visibility, and usability of the current system.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance an existing internal audit and code-modification platform.
  • Support, troubleshoot, and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines, merge request workflows, and pipeline execution processes.
  • Improve operational reliability, system performance, and platform stability through targeted enhancements.
  • Support LLM-driven and agentic workflows, including prompt execution, input/output validation, and deterministic processing patterns.
  • Implement and improve observability capabilities, including logging, telemetry, run tracking, debugging, and operational visibility.
  • Enhance developer experience for reviewing automated code changes, generated merge requests, and codemod outputs.
  • Assist engineering teams with platform usage, issue resolution, and workflow improvements.
  • Execute backlog items independently while working within the existing architecture and technical framework.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business and engineering requirements into practical platform improvements.
  • Review and improve generated code changes and automated remediation outputs to ensure quality and reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related program and/or relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of backend, platform, or infrastructure engineering experience.
  • Strong expertise with GitLab CI/CD pipelines, merge request workflows, and pipeline troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with LLM-based, prompt-driven, or agentic systems in production environments.
  • Strong understanding of observability practices, including logging, telemetry, monitoring, debugging, and operational analytics.
  • Experience supporting internal developer platforms, engineering tools, or shared services used across multiple teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently deliver tactical improvements within an established system architecture.
  • Experience reviewing and improving automated code modifications, codemods, or generated merge requests.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to support internal engineering customers effectively.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience building or maintaining developer experience tooling related to code reviews, audits, compliance, or automated remediation.
  • Familiarity with GitHub or GitLab extensions, repository auditing tools, or large-scale source code analysis platforms.
  • Experience with codemod frameworks and automated code transformation across large codebases.
  • Knowledge of LLM token optimization, cost management, usage tracking, and per-job reporting.
  • Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP), agent gateways, orchestration frameworks, or similar AI infrastructure patterns.
  • Experience supporting centralized engineering platforms serving multiple product or development teams.
