Job description

The Health Informatics Business Development Analyst supports growth, business development, and solutioning efforts within ICF’s Health Informatics Portfolio, with a focus on federal health clients supporting chronic disease prevention, behavioral health, and public health data initiatives.

This role sits at the intersection of health domain expertise, information technology, and business development, partnering closely with BD leads, capture teams, technical experts, and program leadership to support pipeline development, solution shaping, and client engagement activities. The role also includes technical writing responsibilities, including drafting and editing clear, compliant proposals and capture content, as well as producing client-ready materials.

The ideal candidate brings approximately 8–10 years of relevant experience across health informatics, IT, analytics, and federal consulting environments and has familiarity with agencies such as CDC, SAMHSA, and state health programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support business development and growth initiatives for the Health Informatics Portfolio through opportunity research, pipeline tracking, and client intelligence.

  • Assist capture and proposal efforts by developing opportunity summaries, solution concepts, capability briefings, and proposal content.

  • Partner with technical and capture teams to translate health informatics and IT concepts into clear, client-ready solutions and value propositions.

  • Contribute to the development of data-driven health IT solutions across the public health space, including chronic disease, infectious disease, and behavioral health.

  • Synthesize market and client insights to support portfolio strategy and growth planning.

  • Coordinate business development activities, manage deliverables and deadlines, and maintain organized proposal and growth materials.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, health, information technology, health informatics, business, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience supporting business development, growth, capture, or solution development in a health, IT, data, or federal consulting environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience across the public health space, including chronic disease, infectious disease, and behavioral health

  • Familiarity with federal procurement or proposal processes

  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams across health, data, and technology domains

  • Graduate coursework or certification in public health, health informatics, or IT (preferred but not required)

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$98,614.00 - $167,644.00
