Job Summary:
The Crewing Manager acts as the company’s primary contact with our clients to provide technicians for sports, entertainment and other live events.The Crewing Manager will work remotely, and is responsible for selecting, hiring, scheduling and payrolling technicians, and working closely with clients to provide timely, responsive, top-tier service throughout the event production cycle.  This position is available for remote work.


General Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Hire and manage crews of sports, entertainment and other live event technicians.
  • Communicate with clients regarding crew requirements, budgets, and schedules.
  • Schedule, track, and manage assigned work.
  • Ensure work is on schedule and is meeting internal and client deadlines.
  • Anticipate and communicate issues to the management team to resolve problems quickly.
  • Ensure productions comply with safety, health and other regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively address issues which arise during the course of the production.
  • Evaluate workplace conduct and performance concerns in alignment with company policy and collective bargaining agreements, if applicable.
  • Evaluate the needs of the local market to identify new talent. 
  • Coordinate and manage travel for technical crews, including airfare, hotel, and rental car bookings.
  • Oversee payroll entries and expense approval for events.
  • Initiate budget and schedule adjustments as required.
  • Coordinate credentials and other broadcast requirements on a per event basis.
  • Assist with recruiting and training initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of live broadcast sports, entertainment and/or other related live events as well as remote events planning.
  • General familiarity with union collective bargaining agreements and operating procedures.
  • Self-starter, able to set priorities, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, follow through, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong listening, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to create and track production budgets.
  • Proficient with Google Workspace.
  • Willingness to help and support other staff and technicians.
  • Some travel required.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
• 3+ years of experience in live event/ crew management
• Prior supervisory experience
• Knowledge of Salesforce Software

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000-$85,000. plus benefits as applicable. This position is not eligible for stocks and/or stock options. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The compensation information displayed on each job posting reflects the range for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
