Candidate Resource Consultant (Remote – South Africa Based)

Supporting a US Construction Recruitment Business

About the Opportunity

Join a growing UK-based construction recruitment business that is scaling rapidly across the US sectors in the built environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a South African-based recruiter to work remotely with an established US client, supporting high-volume recruitment delivery while developing into a future senior or management-level role.

The US construction market continues to experience strong demand, creating outstanding long-term earning and progression opportunities for ambitious recruiters who want to build a career in an international market.

This role is focused on delivery and candidate management rather than business development. You will work closely with experienced UK consultants and directors, helping to source, qualify, and manage candidates across multiple live vacancies.

The business is looking for someone highly motivated, commercially aware, organised, and capable of building strong relationships with candidates and clients alike.

The Role

As a Recruitment Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting recruitment delivery across the US (West Coast) construction sector.

You will be responsible for identifying and engaging candidates, managing recruitment processes, maintaining candidate pipelines, and ensuring a high-quality experience throughout the hiring journey.

You’ll work in a fast-paced environment where communication, initiative, attention to detail, and relationship-building are critical to success.

Key Responsibilities
Support consultants and directors with recruitment delivery
Conduct market mapping and research to identify target candidates and companies
Source, headhunt, and engage candidates through calls, LinkedIn, job boards, and networking
Screen CVs and assess candidate suitability for live vacancies
Manage and maintain candidate pipelines across multiple roles
Coordinate interviews and guide candidates through the recruitment process
Build long-term relationships with candidates within the US construction market
Maintain accurate CRM and recruitment system records
Work toward agreed activity and performance targets
Collaborate with the wider team to ensure successful placements and client satisfaction
Deliver a professional and consultative candidate experience

Requirements

Essential Experience & Skills
Minimum 18 months’ recruitment experience in US/ UK construction preferred
Perm recruitment experience within the UK/ US is a non-negotiable
Strong communication skills with confidence speaking to professionals over the phone
Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
Self-sufficient and able to work remotely with minimal supervision
Strong administrative and communication abilities
Positive, proactive, and resilient mindset
Team player with a strong willingness to learn and develop

Preferred Background
Experience recruiting within one or more of the following sectors would be highly advantageous:

Construction
Civil Engineering
White-collar construction recruitment
Technical or professional services recruitment

Working Arrangement
Fully remote role based in South Africa
Supporting US operations and working US aligned hours: 12:30 pm - 9 pm (Nov - to end of Mar) and 13:30 pm - 10 pm (End of March to End of October)
