Job description

Description/Responsibilities:

The Vice President, Health Plan Sales is responsible for driving strategic growth across national and regional health plans by leading new business acquisition and expanding Tivity Health’s health plan relationships. This executive leader will develop and execute go-to-market strategies that accelerate growth across Medicare Advantage, Commercial, Medicaid, and emerging health plan opportunities.

This role requires a proven healthcare executive with deep health plan expertise, strong C-suite relationships, and a track record of building high-performing teams and delivering sustainable revenue growth. The VP will collaborate closely with Product, Client Relations, Marketing, Growth Operations, Network, and Executive Leadership to position Tivity Health as a strategic wellness and longevity partner.

Responsibilities:

Growth & Revenue Leadership

  • Own new health plan bookings and revenue targets across assigned markets
  • Develop and execute health plan growth strategies across:
    • Medicare Advantage
    • Commercial plans
    • Medicaid
    • Emerging health plan segments
  • Build and manage a strategic pipeline with disciplined forecasting
  • Identify whitespace opportunities and prioritize target accounts
  • Create territory and account strategies aligned with growth objectives

 

Executive Relationship Management

  • Establish and expand executive relationships with:
    • CEOs
    • Presidents
    • Market leaders
    • Medicare executives
    • Product leaders
    • Network leaders
    • Clinical and population health executives
  • Serve as executive sponsor for strategic opportunities
  • Lead complex sales cycles and executive presentations

Strategic Selling

  • Translate Tivity’s portfolio into health plan-specific value propositions:
    • SilverSneakers®
    • WholeHealth Living®
    • ForeverFit®
  • Articulate clinical, financial, and member engagement outcomes
  • Position differentiated solutions that improve health outcomes and reduce costs
  • Navigate enterprise procurement, contracting, and implementation processes

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with:
    • Marketing on demand generation
    • Product on market feedback and innovation
    • Client Relations on growth and retention strategies
    • Growth Operations on analytics and pipeline management
  • Drive alignment around strategic priorities and account plans

Leadership & Team Development

  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and execution
  • Establish operating rhythms and performance metrics
  • Foster a culture that reflects Tivity Health values
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or MBA preferred
  • 12–15+ years healthcare sales experience
  • 8+ years selling into health plans
  • Demonstrated success selling enterprise healthcare solutions
  • Existing executive relationships across payer organizations
  • Experience leading large, strategic sales opportunities
  • Proven track record exceeding quota and growth targets
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills

The salary range for this opportunity is $142,000 to $200,000. This role also includes commission. Compensation depends on several factors: qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
