Job Description:
The Role
Today, most of our lead qualification, enrichment, routing, and reporting is done by hand. We want it run by AI agents — built on Clay, powered by Claude and other LLMs, and connected to our own stack. As our founding GTM Engineer, you'll own the build from day one, reporting to our new Head of AI GTM.
The role starts at roughly 60% AI systems and 40% traditional marketing ops. We need clean data before the AI layer can work — so expect real CRM hygiene and data architecture work upfront. As the data stabilizes and we automate more, the mix shifts toward 100% AI.
What you'll do
Lead generation and routing
Build Clay workflows that find, enrich, score, and route leads using intent signals, firmographic data, and account behavior.
Merge multiple data sources (intent platforms, 10-K filings, engagement) into one scoring model.
Build the custom integrations, APIs, and webhooks that move data between external providers and our CRM.
AI agents
Build agents (Claude and others) for reporting, outbound sequencing, and personalized nurture.
Build a system that pulls data from our four Salesforce instances into clean executive dashboards and QBR reports.
Stand up MCP servers with IT so AI tools plug into the rest of our stack.
Use Claude Code to ship automations fast.
CRM and marketing systems — the foundation
Get our CRMs AI-ready: build the data quality and architecture that lets agents actually work.
Own HubSpot: workflows, routing, deduping, parent-child accounts, data hygiene.
Partner with our Salesforce admins on field mapping and cross-instance work.
Keep funnel reporting accurate. Give marketing clean segments for ads, nurture, and ABM.
Pick and roll out our next outreach and sequencing tool.
What you have
Must have
2-5 years in GTM Operations, RevOps, Marketing Ops, or Growth Engineering.
Deep HubSpot expertise. You architect workflows and data models without help.
Salesforce literacy — comfortable working with SF admins on field mapping and cross-instance integration.
You've built APIs and webhooks between marketing tools and CRMs.
You've built or deployed AI agents — designed the workflow, not just typed prompts into ChatGPT.
Hands-on with Claude Code or similar AI-native coding tools.
Systems thinking. You can hold multi-source, multi-decision workflows in your head.
Helpful
A Clay portfolio.
Demandbase experience, or similar intent data platforms.
Complex B2B sales cycles and multi-stakeholder enterprise deals.
ABM program experience.
A portfolio of agents you've built for GTM (not product).
CS or engineering degree.
Working style
Builder. You'd rather automate something than do it twice.
Comfortable with ambiguity. The role will change shape as we automate.
Rigorous on data quality. Bad data breaks everything downstream.
One more thing
Two or three years of real AI agent work matters more to us than eight years of traditional marketing ops. We're not bolting AI onto a normal role — we're hiring someone to build the AI-native version from scratch. You'll be the first GTM Engineer here, which means you set the playbook for everyone who comes after.
