Job description

Pre-Litigation Assistant
• Summary: The Pre-Litigation Assistant supports the Pre-Litigation team by handling administrative and process-driven tasks so Case Managers can focus on client advocacy, negotiations, and case strategy. Reports to the Director of Pre-Litigation. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, organized professional comfortable working within legal systems and a fast-paced environment. Growth opportunities may include progressing to a full Case Manager role or moving into other legal departments over time.
Responsibilities
• Send initial subrogation letters and follow up with lien holders to confirm file establishment
• Confirm insurance coverage and obtain policy limits from adjusters after the Letter of Representation is sent
• Manage post-settlement processes from settlement through disbursement (excluding final lien reconciliation)
• Communicate professionally with clients, adjusters, lien holders, and internal teams
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
• Provide administrative and case support to Case Managers
• Follow established workflows, SOPs, and quality standards
• Assist with overflow tasks and special projects as needed
Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in administrative, legal support, or pre-litigation roles required Personal Injury experience is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Professional and empathetic communication style, especially with clients
• Understanding of or exposure to legal or pre-litigation processes preferred
• Ability to follow procedures, workflows, and instructions consistently
• High level of discretion and professionalism handling sensitive information
• Willingness to learn and grow within a legal environment
