Job description

Work Flexibility: Hybrid

What you will do

Join our team and help bring innovative products to market. As an Associate Sourcing Manager – NPI (Hybrid), you’ll lead sourcing strategy for new product launches—driving supplier selection, negotiations, and cost optimization from concept through commercialization.

You’ll partner cross-functionally to guide sourcing decisions, manage supplier relationships, and ensure launch readiness, while identifying risks, savings opportunities, and long-term value. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can influence across teams, and delivers results through both strategy and strong supplier partnerships.   This is a hybrid role. We are seeking a candidate in Irvine, CA or the surrounding area. The employee is expected to be physically present at a Stryker location 3 days per week but has the flexibility to work from home.

  • Lead end-to-end NPI sourcing strategy for complex projects, driving execution from concept through launch

  • Own supplier selection and sourcing decisions, leveraging data-driven analysis (financial + non-financial) to deliver strong outcomes

  • Lead contract negotiations (supply and development agreements) to secure value, mitigate risk, and support long-term partnerships

  • Build and manage key supplier relationships, serving as the primary escalation point and trusted partner

  • Drive new product launch procurement activities, including RFQs, negotiations, awards, cost management, and launch readiness

  • Partner cross-functionally to resolve challenges, balance stakeholder needs, and ensure seamless project execution

  • Track and optimize costs throughout the lifecycle, capturing savings and ensuring smooth handoff to sustaining procurement

  • Identify risks and opportunities early, proactively escalating issues and driving continuous improvement and strategic sourcing initiatives
