Course: Crime Prevention and Public Relations

This course provides a comprehensive examination of the relationship between the police and the public. The course exposes students to strategies law enforcement personnel and agencies can use to develop positive relationships with the public. The relationship between greater communication, positive interactions, and crime prevention is explored.

What You Will Do:

• Facilitate weekly main discussion forums to engage students in the online classroom
• Adhere to weekly grading requirements, deadlines, and timeframes
• Respond to students’ questions and emails within the established timeframes
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University

What You Will Bring:

• Preferred: PhD in Justice Studies OR
  • Criminal Justice
• Coursework in public relations AND work experience in crime prevention
• Minimum: Doctorate in any field with a Master’s in Criminal Justice OR Justice Studies OR related discipline with coursework in public relations AND work experience in crime prevention
