Job description

VetsEZ is seeking a Technical Product Manager to support a large federal healthcare interoperability program. In this role, you will define and manage product direction for platform capabilities, partner integrations, APIs, and workflow enablement that support health data exchange and operational outcomes. You will collaborate with business owners, architects, engineers, and government stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into an actionable roadmap.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities:

  • Define product vision, roadmap, and priorities for technical platform capabilities and customer-facing outcomes.
  • Manage and refine the product backlog, ensuring features and enablers are aligned to mission value, delivery sequencing, and stakeholder priorities.
  • Partner with business owners, Solution Management, architects, and Agile teams to clarify scope, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and release priorities.
  • Support PI Planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and program governance activities across the ART.
  • Translate complex interoperability, platform, and workflow needs into clear epics, features, and user stories.
  • Evaluate tradeoffs across business value, technical complexity, compliance requirements, and operational readiness.
  • Coordinate with engineering and QA teams to ensure product increments meet quality expectations and business objectives.
  • Engage government stakeholders and external partners to capture feedback, manage expectations, and support adoption.
  • Track delivery outcomes, product health, and roadmap progress using appropriate metrics and status reporting.
  • Support cross-team coordination for releases affecting APIs, integrations, data products, and shared platform services.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in product management, business analysis, or technical program delivery.
  • Experience managing product backlogs, roadmaps, and delivery priorities in Agile environments, preferably SAFe.
  • Strong ability to translate business needs into features, stories, and acceptance criteria for technical teams.
  • Experience working with APIs, integration platforms, healthcare data exchange, or enterprise software products.
  • Familiarity with backlog and documentation tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief leadership and facilitate stakeholder discussions.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution and delivery support.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, QA, UX, operations, and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Public Health, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to obtain a Government clearance.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with federal contracting or Department of Veterans Affairs programs is preferred.
  • Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR, HL7, CCDA, or TEFCA-related exchange models is a plus.
  • Experience supporting product delivery in regulated, security-conscious, or mission-critical environments.
  • SAFe Product Manager/Product Owner certification or similar credentials are a plus.
  • Background working on platform modernization, cloud transformation, or data integration initiatives is preferred.
