Lead SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Consultant – Manufacturing Role: Lead Consultant – SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Employment Type: Contract (Based on Engagement) Location: Remote (Preferred) with potential travel
Key Responsibilities
Solution Leadership & Delivery
Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementations for manufacturing clients
Act as Functional Lead / Solution Architect for Public Cloud deployments
Drive Fit-to-Standard workshops and process alignment
Promote adoption of SAP Best Practices
Ensure delivery aligns with Public Cloud standards and scope boundaries
Align solutions with SAP roadmap and release strategy
Manufacturing & Supply Chain Processes
Lead implementation and configuration for:
Production Planning
Manufacturing Execution integration
Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
Bills of Material (BOMs)
Routings and Work Centers
Inventory Management
Procurement and Supply Planning
Guide clients on Public Cloud limitations vs extensibility options
Provide best practice recommendations for manufacturing scenarios
Public Cloud Architecture & Integration
Design solutions within SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud constraints:
Configuration-based extensibility
In-App extensibility
Side-by-Side extensions using SAP BTP
Coordinate integrations with:
SAP Digital Manufacturing
SAP IBP
SAP Ariba
Third-party manufacturing systems
Collaborate with technical teams using SAP BTP, APIs, and event-based messaging
Define integration architecture aligned with Public Cloud standards
Project & Client Leadership
Serve as primary functional contact for client stakeholders
Lead solution design and process decisions
Provide scope control and change request guidance
Support project planning and milestone tracking
Lead cutover planning and hypercare activities
Mentor junior consultants and offshore teams
Testing, Deployment & Adoption
Lead functional validation activities, including:
Unit Testing
Integration Testing
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Support data migration using SAP Migration Cockpit
Ensure successful Go-Live execution
Support post-Go-Live stabilization
Required Qualifications
8+ years of SAP consulting experience
3+ years of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud experience
Minimum 2 full lifecycle Public Cloud implementations
Strong manufacturing domain experience
Hands-on experience with GROW with SAP methodology
Proven experience leading Fit-to-Standard workshops
Strong knowledge of SAP Best Practices for Manufacturing
Experience with SAP Public Cloud extensibility
SAP BTP integration knowledge
Excellent client-facing communication skills
Ability to lead solution design and architecture decisions
