Business Development Representative – Surety Bonds

Texas (Remote after training)
Training Requirement: 1-year relocation to Massachusetts (fully covered, both ways + Pay
Compensation:
$70K–$90K Base + Commission (OTE $200K–$300K within 3 years)

Territory Development
Build and execute a territory development plan focused on Texas construction markets
Identify and engage contractors requiring performance and payment bonds
Develop relationships with construction firms, CPAs, attorneys, and referral partners
Establish and maintain a strong pipeline of new bonding clients
Consultative Sales
Conduct financial and operational discovery with contractors
Educate clients on bonding capacity, underwriting requirements, and financial best practices
Structure and manage bonding programs with surety partners
Position yourself as a trusted advisor rather than a transactional broker
Business Development
Prospect through industry associations, contractor networks, trade events, and referrals
Build relationships with surety underwriters and carriers
Develop strategic partnerships within the construction ecosystem
Maintain disciplined CRM usage and consistent prospecting cadence
Client Relationship Management
Serve as a trusted advisor guiding clients through bonding requirements
Collaborate with internal underwriting and support teams
Ensure timely delivery of bid bonds, performance bonds, and related instruments
Strong communication, relationship-building, and consultative selling skills
Willingness to relocate to Massachusetts for 1 year for training (relocation fully covered) + Pay
Base Salary: $70,000–$90,000
On-Target Earnings (OTE) / Bonus Structure: Commission-based; potential to reach $200K–$300K within 3 years
