Mechanical Design Engineer

Pay Rate: $53.95 per hour

Duration: 12 months

Summary:

• Mechanical design and analysis of Turbine Hot Gas Path and Rotor components for HDGT and Aeroderivatives engines.
• Collaborate with Cross Functional Engineering teams and Global Supply Chain teams.
• Ensure that hardware meets Product and Design Practice CTQs.
• Focus on component and sub-system optimizations, including Design for Cost, Design for Variation, and Design for Manufacturability.

Responsibilities:

• Mechanical design and analysis of Heavy Duty and Aeroderivative gas turbine components.
• Evaluate hot gas path and rotor components.
• Execute design or evaluation of assigned hardware using sound engineering practices.
• Participate and present in technical reviews for all design tasks and outputs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
• 4 to 8 years of Engineering analysis experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience designing and analyzing turbine blades, nozzles, and shrouds and/or rotors using ANSYS.
• Proficiency in CAD software, preferably NX.
• Basic understanding of Engineering principles.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
