We are looking for a seasoned QA & Release Lead to drive end-to-end quality engineering and release governance for Majesco-based insurance platforms. This role demands strong insurance domain expertise, hands-on QA leadership, and the ability to manage complex, multi-system releases in a client-facing, onshore environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. QA Strategy & Leadership
Define and implement end-to-end QA strategy aligned with business and technology objectives
Establish quality standards, governance frameworks, and best practices across programs
Lead, mentor, and manage distributed QA teams across onshore and offshore locations
2. Majesco Functional & Integration Testing
Oversee testing of Majesco Insurance Suite modules (Policy, Billing, Claims)
Ensure comprehensive test coverage across core insurance workflows, integrations, and data flows
Validate complex, cross-system business scenarios and third-party integrations
3. Release Management & Governance
Own release planning, coordination, and execution across multiple teams
Drive Go/No-Go decisions based on quality metrics, risk assessment, and business readiness
Manage release calendars, interdependencies, and stakeholder communications
4. Risk-Based Testing & Quality Assurance
Identify and assess risks early during design and requirement phases
Develop and execute risk-based testing strategies focusing on critical areas
Participate in design reviews to ensure testability and quality considerations
5. Defect & Quality Management
Govern defect lifecycle management, including triage, root cause analysis (RCA), and resolution
Lead war-room calls for critical defects and production issues
Track and report quality metrics, defect leakage, and trends
6. Test Automation & Innovation
Collaborate with automation teams to expand UI, API, and integration test coverage
Promote CI/CD integration and shift-left testing practices
Drive adoption of modern QA tools and AI-driven testing approaches
7. Environment & Data Management
Ensure test environment readiness, availability, and stability
Define and govern test data strategy, including masked production-like datasets
Manage dependencies across upstream and downstream systems
8. Production Readiness & Monitoring
Support production deployments and hypercare activities
Monitor production quality signals such as defects, incidents, and user feedback
Drive continuous improvement using production insights
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with strong leadership experience
Hands-on experience with Majesco Insurance Platform (Policy, Billing, Claims)
Strong understanding of P&C or Life Insurance domain
Proven experience in end-to-end testing across integrated systems
Demonstrated expertise in release management and governance
Strong experience in test automation (UI/API), Agile, and DevOps practices
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in a client-facing role
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Experience working in onshore-offshore delivery models
Exposure to data migration, cloud platforms, and microservices architecture
Familiarity with AI-driven testing tools or frameworks
