Job description

Director (Software Development)
Location: Remote
Duration: Full Time
Salary plus Benefits

US Citizens and Green cards are preferred.

**Responsibilities: **
  • Design, develop, and maintain efficient and reliable PHP code for backend systems.
  • Create and optimize database schemas to support application requirements.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic.
  • Implement RESTful APIs for seamless integration with external services and applications.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing PHP code to ensure performance and scalability.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in backend development.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Write clear, well-documented code and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality standards.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment and maintenance of backend services.
  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Experience with containerization/GKE tools
  • Working knowledge with cloud platforms such as GCP and AWS
  • Understanding of security best practices in web development.

**Requirements: **

  • Solid understanding of version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code for performance and scalability.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
