Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Pega Developer to join a prominent credit union for a 12-month remote engagement. The ideal candidate will bring extensive IT experience, a deep understanding of Pega systems, and strong leadership skills to drive complex projects and deliver robust solutions.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead major projects involving complex Pega solutions, from analysis through design and maintenance, aligning with business requirements and standards.
  • Collaborate with Scrum delivery teams to code and integrate high-quality solutions within sprint timelines.
  • Transform legacy workflow applications to Pega, ensuring scalable and reusable technical solutions.
  • Partner with solution architects and the Pega Center of Excellence (COE) to ensure compliance with architecture guidelines, security requirements, and development standards.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including status reports, proposals, system diagrams, and change-related documents.

Core Skills Needed:

  • 10+ years of total IT experience, with a progressive career path starting as a programmer and evolving into a Pega developer.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Pega, including high-level architecture and roadmap delivery.
  • Pega Certified with a Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) credential.
  • Broad technology footprint, including experience with Cloud, DevOps, IBM, Oracle, UNIX, AIX, Windows, Java/J2EE, Databases, and Mainframe.
  • 2-4+ years of experience in the financial industry, preferably in banking.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills, with leadership experience.
  • Strong analytical skills for summarizing information, identifying key elements, and recognizing patterns.
  • Experience with Agile methodology and iterative development.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
