Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in IBM Mainframe technologies to support and enhance critical supply chain applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in COBOL, DB2, CICS, and JCL, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. This role involves developing, maintaining, and optimizing large-scale enterprise applications that support supply chain and retail operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain applications on IBM Mainframe platforms.
  • Work extensively with COBOL, DB2, CICS, and JCL to build and enhance enterprise systems.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical design and development tasks.
  • Develop and maintain DB2 stored procedures, triggers, and database objects.
  • Perform code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning of mainframe applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA teams, and system administrators.
  • Utilize tools such as SPUFI and SCLM for database queries, code management, and version control.
  • Integrate and support messaging systems using IBM MQ where applicable.
  • Provide support for production issues, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
  • Participate in system testing, release planning, and deployment activities.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years of IT experience, with strong focus on IBM Mainframe development.
  • Hands-on expertise in COBOL, DB2, CICS, and JCL.
  • Experience with DB2 stored procedures, triggers, and SPUFI.
  • Familiarity with SCLM for source code management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote distributed team environment.
