Summary
Client is seeking an experienced Software Platform Architect – Semantic Architecture to lead the design and implementation of enterprise semantic data architectures for industrial and cloud platform environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in API design, contract-first development, industrial data modeling, and semantic integration frameworks. This role will focus on building scalable, interoperable data platforms that connect OT systems, MES, Historian, and LIMS environments with modern cloud and AI-driven platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and own API contracts, data schemas, and configuration models aligned with ISA-95 canonical semantic architecture
• Lead implementation of contract-first development methodologies across platform services and integrations
• Integrate MES, Historian, and LIMS data into standardized asset and batch models
• Build and maintain semantic data layers connecting operational technology (OT) systems to cloud platforms
• Define, document, and enforce enterprise data modeling standards and reusable semantic patterns
• Collaborate with backend engineering, AI, analytics, and digital twin teams to ensure model alignment and interoperability
• Ensure consistency, traceability, governance, and interoperability of data across enterprise systems
• Support scalable and secure enterprise integration strategies for industrial data environments
• Participate in architecture reviews, technical planning, and platform modernization initiatives
• Provide technical leadership and best practices around semantic architecture and industrial data standards

• 10+ years of experience in software architecture, platform engineering, or enterprise integration
• Strong hands-on experience designing REST APIs and contract-first service architectures
• Deep expertise with JSON/YAML schemas and enterprise data modeling frameworks
• Experience building semantic data layers and enterprise integration architectures
• Strong understanding of ISA-95 semantic architecture and industrial data standards
• Experience integrating MES, Historian, LIMS, and OT systems with cloud platforms
• Knowledge of interoperability, traceability, and enterprise data governance principles
• Experience collaborating across engineering, AI, and platform teams in enterprise environments
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote enterprise delivery environment

• Exposure to OPC-UA, AWS SiteWise, and industrial IoT data platforms
• Experience supporting digital twin initiatives and enterprise semantic modeling strategies
• Familiarity with cloud-native architecture and scalable distributed systems
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial automation, or smart factory environment.
