Job Summary
The Sales Support Specialist is customer and operations focused. This specialist contributes to the development and maintenance of positive customer relationships while providing essential support for effective sales operations. The professional Sales Support Specialist works to increase company sales and maintain or reduce expenses. The Sales Support Specialist makes significant impact on sales efforts and overall business success.
The Sales Support Specialist II proficiently and effectively handles multiple functions, as directed by leadership, which may include account setups/enrollments, sales quotes and product lists, sales order entry, upsells and processing, credit and return processing, billing and reconciliation, etc. Sales Support Specialist II is responsible for accuracy, efficiency, compliance and overall superior customer sales and service experience and works efficiently with minimal supervision.
Essential Functions
The successful Sales Support Specialist II will:
Provide sales and service support to internal and external customers by performing a variety of sales support-related tasks and activities
Support and liaison with branch and territory managers and customer service partners in a manner that helps them gain and keep customers
Build trust and rapport that leads to opportunity and maintained customer loyalty through knowledgeable, courteous and efficient customer service.
Assist in promoting products and value-add services to cold and warm target accounts as directed by team lead or manager.
Liaison with account managers and customer service partners to receive input and feedback and ensure customer satisfaction
Respond to customer and sales team requests and inquiries promptly, professionally and according to protocol
Receive, process, and confirm all communications and tasks in a manner that meets or exceeds performance and quality standards
Introduce and promote products or promotions and use upsell or associative selling techniques according to protocols or as directed by team lead or manager
Ensure tasks and orders are processed in a manner that meets defined service level agreements and shipping deadlines
Proficiently move from one task to another according to established priorities or as directed by team lead or manager
Troubleshoot complaints and escalate concerns or non-standard occurrences to team lead and/or manager according to protocol
Successfully complete training on systems, processes, policies and procedures and products
Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent experience
Experience with Outlook or similar email platform
Proficient with computer systems and excellent data entry and typing skills
Proven customer service, sales support or operations experience
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Adaptable to shifting priorities based on business need
Experience with high volume office work
Excellent organization, prioritization and time-management skills
Self-motivated and adaptable to continuous improvement
Works efficiently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
Animal Health, Veterinary or Pharmaceutical industry experience
Bachelor’s or associate degree in a related field
Hands on experience with ERP/SAP systems
Experience with Microsoft Office applications
Travel and On-Call:
This position requires no travel per week
For this position being on-call is not required.

The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount could exceed this range, based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills.
