  • Work under close or infrequent supervision and collaborate effectively in a team environment, following instructions from colleagues and supervisors

The Climate Mitigation Intern performs research and project assistance .

We’re Looking for You:

The Climate Mitigation Intern (CMI) performs research and project assistance on clean energy and decarbonization programs in support of The Nature Conservancy’s mitigation, clean energy and conservation strategy goals as part of the Climate Mitigation team in New York State.

Responsibilities & Scope :

  • Works under close or infrequent supervision.

  • Geographic size and scope are the New York Division.              

  • Work with Director and other NY staff on drafting responses to various climate/clean energy regulatory proceedings on behalf of the NY Division and beyond.                        

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree

  • Enrolled in a graduate program with an emphasis on clean energy and climate change; familiarity with New York State preferred.

  • Experience conducting research and synthesizing information.

  • This will be a Fall internship.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.

  • Ability to follow instructions from colleagues/coworkers/team members.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Salary Information:

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is 20.00/hourly. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
