Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead pre-sales activities—from RFP receipt and pricing to building campaigns and guiding deals to close—collaborating with Sales
  • Develop fluency in internal systems (Salesforce, FreeWheel, Strata, Tableau) and analyze inventory, pricing, and forecasting to meet client goals and tailor to target audiences
  • Provide feedback to cross-functional teams to improve tools, processes, and product offerings; stay informed on evolving media landscape and apply learnings to scheduling and planning

Comcast Advertising is driving the TV advertising industry forward, from delivering ads to linear and digital audiences to pioneering the tech that makes it possible. We help brands connect with their audiences on every screen using advanced data, technology, and premium video content. Our media sales division helps local, regional, and national brands reach potential customers through multiscreen TV advertising. Our ad tech division FreeWheel provides comprehensive adtech that makes it easier to buy and sell premium video advertising across all screens, data types, and sales channels.

Job Summary

Responsible for partnering with our internal and external sales teams by developing strategic cross platform media plans and avails that optimize yield principles and demonstrate an understanding of the client objective. Responsible for all pre-sales activities, from receipt of the request for proposal, pricing and building campaigns, assisting with the internal negotiation process as well as guiding sales through the close of deals. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.

Core Responsibilities

  • Create proposals adhering to yield and pricing principles across all media platforms: Traditional TV (Market & National), Audience Addressable, Streaming, Interactive Display, and Programmatic.
  • Collaborate with our Sales partners by developing strategic cross-platform media plans that optimize our supply and demonstrate an understanding of client specifications and campaign objectives.
  • Responsible for all pre-sales activities, from receipt of the request for proposal, pricing and building campaigns, assisting with the internal negotiation process, as well as guiding sales through the close of deals.
  • Attain fluency in the basic media principles and functionality of partner departments within the organization (Sales, Campaign Management, Advertising Operations, Sales Development, Supply Strategy, Product, Finance).
  • Develop in-depth understanding of relevant systems including but not limited to all inventory, pricing, forecasting, and planning tools (Salesforce, FreeWheel, Strata, Tableau, and internal systems and reports).
  • Demonstrate fluency across our product portfolio of networks, programming, and platforms as they relate to specific job functions.
  • Create proposals adhering to yield and pricing principles across all media platforms: Traditional TV (Market & National), Audience Addressable, Streaming, Interactive Display, and Programmatic.
  • Conduct proper analysis to determine optimal inventory to deliver on client goals, customizing for specific target audiences as needed.
  • Collaborate with Planning team leaders to proactively develop alternative recommendations when client inventory/specification requirements cannot be met.
  • Provide feedback to with cross-functional teams to improve tools, processes, and product offerings.
  • Apply previous campaign learnings to consistently improve schedule building over time.
  • Maintain knowledge of evolving media landscape, ad tech innovations, and consumer behavior shifts.
  • Consistently exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
