Description of Work
This position is part of the Director's Office Policy Team and collaborates with all sections within the Division. The primary purpose of this position to assist in providing fiscal, policy, regulatory and legislative analysis for DCDEE in order to plan for agency/DCDEE program needs. The position also provides policy planning and coordination with the NC Child Care Commission. A key responsibility for this position is to provide supervision to policy team members.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Salary Range: $63,927 - $111,871
Recruitment Range: $63,927 - $80,827

About the Division Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE):
The Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE) implements quality standards for child care and increases access to families and their children across North Carolina. NCGS 110-85 requires that the State protect children in child care facilities by ensuring that these facilities provide a physically safe and healthy environment where the developmental needs of the children are met and where these children are cared for by qualified persons of good moral character.

Minimum Education and Experience

Planner Master's degree in public or human service administration or human services programmatic field from an appropriately accredited institution, and three years of human service experience, two of which must have been in human services program planning; or Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution, and five years progressive administrative or consultative experience in a human service program, two of which must have been in human service program planning; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Evaluator Master's degree in the field of psychology, sociology, or social work from an appropriately accredited institution, and three years of experience in research and evaluation, using statistical methodologies in human service programs; or Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution, and five years of experience in research, evaluation and statistical application in the human service field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.EEO Statement
