At Appsilon, operations is not a support function - it is one of the key enablers of sustainable growth.
As our Operations Manager, you will help shape how a fast-growing international consultancy operates at scale. Your role is to connect people, systems, processes, and operational decisions into one coherent environment that allows the company to grow efficiently, securely, and sustainably.
You will work across Finance, Delivery, Sales, Technology, Security, and People functions, helping the organization stay aligned while navigating an increasingly dynamic and multi-context environment.
This role requires someone who naturally sees the bigger picture:
someone who connects dots across teams,
anticipates operational risks before they become problems,
creates clarity where complexity grows,
and knows how to balance structure with business agility.
You will report directly to the Head of Finance & Operations and work closely with senior leadership, including the CEO and Head of Technology. This role comes with strong leadership support, high visibility, and meaningful influence on how the organization evolves operationally.
We already operate with a mature tooling ecosystem and established operational foundations. Your mission is to continuously improve scalability, strengthen operational resilience, simplify collaboration, and ensure our systems, processes, and security standards evolve together with the business.
We are looking for a operational manager with experience navigating complex, fast-growing business environments.
Lead and develop the Operations team, including IT Administration and Security
Continuously improve operational scalability across Finance, Sales, Delivery, Technology, and People functions
Own and evolve the company’s operational tooling ecosystem and automation landscape
Strengthen operational resilience, business continuity, and security practices
Coordinate operational aspects of compliance initiatives, including ISO 27001 readiness and customer security requirements
Partner with external vendors, legal counsel, auditors, and the DPO on operational and compliance-related matters
Support organizational alignment by improving workflows, communication structures, and operational clarity across teams
Build and maintain operational documentation, policies, and internal enablement resources
Advise leadership on operational risks, scalability, tooling, security, and process optimization
Create an environment where teams can collaborate efficiently and focus on high-impact work
This role is for someone who:
thrives in dynamic, fast-changing environments with multiple parallel contexts,
combines strategic thinking with operational execution,
feels comfortable making decisions in ambiguous situations,
can move fluently between technical, business, compliance, and people-related topics,
naturally creates structure, clarity, and alignment,
is assertive enough to protect priorities, challenge assumptions, and say “no” when needed,
builds trust across teams through calm, direct, and constructive communication,
enjoys ownership and does not wait for perfectly defined boundaries.
You are likely to succeed here if you:
think in systems, not isolated tasks,
proactively identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement,
enjoy designing scalable operational solutions,
stay calm under pressure,
can prioritize effectively across competing business needs,
are highly organized without becoming rigid,
know when to escalate, when to push forward, and when to simplify.
You likely have:
5+ years of experience in Operations, Business Operations, Internal Operations, or a comparable cross-functional operational leadership role
experience working in a scaling organization (preferably consulting, professional services, SaaS, or technology-driven environments)
hands-on experience managing operational processes across multiple business functions (Finance, People, IT, Delivery, Sales, or Security)
practical experience owning and administering a multi-tool SaaS ecosystem
experience introducing operational improvements, automation, or process standardization initiatives at organizational scale
experience working with operational security, compliance, GDPR, ISO 27001, or customer audit processes
experience managing external vendors, contract negotiations, and operational partnerships
experience leading a small operational, IT, or cross-functional support team
experience working directly with senior leadership and influencing organizational decisions
This role is probably not for you if:
you prefer narrowly defined responsibilities and highly predictable routines,
you need constant direction or heavily structured environments,
you are uncomfortable operating across multiple business domains simultaneously,
you prefer execution-only roles without strategic ownership,
you avoid difficult conversations, prioritization trade-offs, or stakeholder alignment,
you struggle with ambiguity or rapidly changing business priorities,
you prefer managing only within your direct area of expertise rather than connecting cross-functional perspectives,
you are looking for a purely technical IT, compliance, or project management role.
This is a highly cross-functional position that requires business judgment, adaptability, and the ability to operate effectively even when not every variable is fully defined.
Fully remote work, with flexibility to collaborate across time zones and align working hours with key business needs.
An operational role with real ownership — you will help shape how Appsilon scales its processes, tooling, security practices, and internal collaboration model.
Ownership of a mature operational tooling ecosystem — including Goodday, Productive, Aboard, Kolide, Hoxhunt, HubSpot, and Google Workspace — with a clear mandate to keep simplifying, automating, and reducing operational friction.
Direct impact on operational scalability and business resilience by improving workflows, reducing complexity, strengthening systems, and enabling teams to work more effectively.
Close collaboration with Finance & Operations, Technology, Delivery, Sales, People, and Security, giving you a broad view of how the business operates and where it can improve.
High visibility and strong leadership support, including direct cooperation with the Head of Finance & Operations, CEO, and Head of Technology.
Exposure to security, compliance, vendor management, and business continuity topics, including ISO 27001 readiness, customer security requirements, and internal operational standards.
Partnership with external experts, including the company’s DPO and legal counsel, on data protection, compliance, and operational risk matters.
Space to step into cross-functional problems that do not sit neatly in one team, create clarity, connect the right people, and design scalable solutions.
Competitive B2B compensation aligned with experience, responsibility, and business impact, with clear and transparent terms.
Time and budget for professional development, especially in operational excellence, security, compliance, automation, leadership, and process optimization.
Modern equipment - MacBook or ThinkPad with Linux - and tools that support effective, remote-first operations.
A remote-first, trust-based culture built on ownership, accountability, clarity, and partnership.
