Wurth Baer Supply Company is seeking an Outside Sales Territory Manager to cover the Greater Kansas City Region.

Direct Hire. No Agencies. No Third Parties. No Contracts.

As a sales representative, you will work independently and decide how to best grow your market. You will look for top solutions for both the company and our customers and deliver quality service and reliability to your customers. Your responsibilities include handling current customer accounts, growing sales and growing your accounts overall. Treat your territory as if it is your own business, use your follow up skills and help us become the company of choice for our customers.

Geographical Familiarity: Because the territory is in and around the Greater Kansas City Region, someone who is familiar with this geography will have an advantage. With hundreds of established accounts already in the book of business and with the expected major growth, success is highly attainable.

Geographical Operating Area:

  • This territory covers the Northwest corner of Missouri, north of I-70 and east of Kansas City to Columbia, but not including Columbia.

    Established Customer Base: You will inherit hundreds of active customers worth millions, so you won't have to start from scratch by any means. The goal is to grow business in the territory and gradually add new customers. These will be your customers and yours alone. No internal competition. All reps stay in their own territories.

    Customer Type: Millwork fabricators, architectural and design firms, cabinetmakers, kitchen & bath showrooms, wood shops.

    Product Summary: Cabinetry + cabinetry hardware, PPE, synthetic countertops, plywood/laminates, finishes/coatings, adhesives, fasteners, abrasives, sinks, lighting, machinery, hand tools, and power tools.

    Compensation Structure: Base (Target Salary) $70k to $80k + Quarterly Commission Bonuses (Performance Based).  You will have the opportunity to discuss compensation potential in further detail with management during the interview process. 

    Automotive Allowance:  $600/month (tax free) + $0.18/mile fuel reimbursement using a mobile device application called "MOTUS."

    • To help you succeed, we offer hands-on training and professional development, this includes visits to our headquarters, product training, shadowing experienced Outside Sales Reps, and personalized one-on-one training with the high performing Sales Managers.

    • Two (2) years of demonstrated success in outside sales experience, preferably in the woodworking or industrial/distribution arena
    • Bachelor's degree is preferred

    • Excellent written and communication skills
