Job Description:

Coordinates with payers to ensure timely execution of contract rate implementation, and communicates payer policy updates, operational changes, and governmental initiatives to hospital staff and leadership. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with all stakeholders while seeing to understand their needs. Facilitates communication between Case Management, Denial Management, ancillary facilities, and payers to discuss operational contract issues and share information. Maintains the digital contract database with current information, including correspondence, contract language, and rate updates, for accurate reporting to hospital and ancillary department leadership. Chairs quarterly Joint Operation Committee meetings with key revenue cycle stakeholders, including medical directors, utilization management leaders, and health plan representatives. Contributes to key projects with efficiency, accuracy and timeliness. Demonstrates strong ability to build, test and maintain the Epic contract management system with a high degree of autonomy and accuracy. Responds to inquiries from the corporate Net Revenue Accounting department to facilitate month-end net revenue calculations. Identifies workflow issues or barriers to optimal performance and makes suggestions for improvement. Analyzes payer data and trends to identify root cause of issues impacting AR and demonstrates an ability to effectively problem solve. Troubleshoots issues and initiates escalation measures while recommending solutions. Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Work Experience:
• 4+ of experience in managed care, patient financial services or healthcare payer relations background [Required]
• 5+ in healthcare, hospital revenue cycle or payer/provider relations [Preferred]
