AC221 - Full-Time Nanny - Upper East Side, NY

Overview:

A warm, down-to-earth family on the Upper East Side is seeking a full-time live-out nanny to care for their two young children — a 3-year-old daughter and a 1-year-old son. The family is looking for a reliable, engaging, and flexible professional who genuinely enjoys working with active young children and can become a steady, positive presence in their home.

This is an excellent opportunity for a nanny with strong experience managing two children simultaneously, particularly in a busy New York City environment. The ideal candidate is punctual, proactive, patient, and has a naturally upbeat disposition. The mother works from home, so the family is seeking someone confident, professional, and comfortable collaborating within a parent-present environment.

The general schedule is Monday through Friday from 8am to 6pm, with flexibility to work extended hours for date nights and occasional weekends. Ample notice will be given for extended hours.

Responsibilities:

Include, but are not limited to:

• All aspects of full-charge childcare – Always ensuring the safety and well-being of the children
• Provide attentive, nurturing care for two young children (the little girl attends school and camp)
• Confidently manage both children simultaneously in and outside the home 
• Plan engaging, age-appropriate activities and outings 
• Take children to museums, classes, and educational activities throughout the city 
• Encourage developmental growth through interactive play and structured activities 
• Assist with routines, including meals, naps, dressing, and general daily care 
• Safely navigate NYC outings while caring for both children 
• Provide occasional photo and text updates to parents throughout the day 
• Maintain child-related organization and tidiness 
• Support a positive, calm, and happy home environment 
• Minimal pet care would be a plus

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience caring for infants and toddlers simultaneously 
• Highly punctual and dependable 
• Warm, patient, practical, and emotionally intuitive 
• Active and physically capable of managing two young children, including on outings 
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills 
• Confident navigating New York City with children 
• Creative and proactive with planning enriching activities beyond playgrounds 
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, parent-present household 
• Flexible and adaptable personality 

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a similar role
• Pet-friendly – The family has a 12lb hypoallergenic dog
• The little boy is healthy and strong for his age. The candidate must be able to carry and lift him confidently.
• Flexibility with the schedule
• Comfortable with work-from-home parent
• CPR certified
• Ability to travel would be a plus
• Legal to work in the U.S.

Salary and Benefits:

The family is offering $40+/hr commensurate with experience, PTO, OMNY card, and negotiable health care stipend
