LEAVE AN UNDISPUTED LEGACY.
YOU'VE BUILT PROCUREMENT FUNCTIONS.
Now build one that defines a company.
DuraServ is looking for a procurement executive who has operated at scale — and is ready to architect something lasting.
This Is a Builder's Opportunity.
DuraServ is a national leader in commercial dock and door solutions — operating across nine U.S. and Canadian regions, servicing Fortune 500 distribution centers, industrial operators, and regional builders. The business is growing.
That's where you come in. The Vice President of Procurement is a new executive seat — created to centralize, professionalize, and elevate the procurement function across the entire enterprise. You won't inherit a finished system. You'll design it, build it, and run it. The decisions you make in this role will shape how DuraServ buys, sources, and manages supply chain risk for years to come.
If you've spent your career building procurement functions at organizations that demand excellence — and you're ready to leave an undisputed legacy at one that's scaling to meet it — this is your seat.
The Scope of the Role
Build the Foundation
- Develop and execute a centralized enterprise procurement strategy — from sourcing frameworks and supplier selection to contract governance and compliance controls
- Implement procurement policies, procedures, auditing processes, and internal controls that create accountability and scale with the organization
- Lead the selection, implementation, and optimization of procurement technologies and ERP systems that improve responsiveness and operational intelligence
Own the Supplier Ecosystem
- Establish and manage strategic supplier and vendor relationships — including performance management, risk assessment, contract negotiation, and service level expectations
- Lead sourcing initiatives and contract administration activities with the executive presence and commercial rigor that sophisticated suppliers respect
- Monitor market conditions, pricing trends, and supply chain disruptions proactively — you see disruptions before they become operational problems
Drive Cross-Functional Performance
- Partner with Operations, Finance, Sales, and executive leadership to forecast inventory requirements, optimize stock levels, and maintain business continuity
- Analyze procurement and supply chain data to surface trends, reduce costs, and drive strategic decisions that improve margins and operational efficiency
- Lead, develop, and build a high-performance procurement and purchasing team — establishing standards of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
Who We're Looking For
We're not looking for a procurement manager with a VP title. We're looking for a strategic executive who has built something significant — and knows how to do it again.
- You've built or materially scaled a procurement function — not just managed one. You know the difference between inheriting a system and designing it.
- You've operated at or alongside large, sophisticated organizations with world-class procurement standards — companies where procurement is treated as a strategic lever, not a back-office function.
- You negotiate from a position of preparation and credibility — with suppliers who know you've done your homework and executives who trust your recommendation.
- You lead with executive presence: clear communication, sound judgment, and the ability to influence at every level of an organization.
- You're analytically driven — comfortable interpreting procurement, inventory, and supply chain data and translating it into decisions that move the business.
- You build teams as deliberately as you build systems — establishing culture, accountability, and performance standards that outlast your direct involvement.
- You hold a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- You bring 8+ years of progressive procurement or supply chain leadership experience, with demonstrated tenure in multi-location or operationally complex environments.
- You have hands-on experience with ERP systems, procurement technologies, and data analytics tools that inform operational decisions.
What's in It for You
A blank canvas at a company that needs what you know how to do. Executive access. Real authority. And the satisfaction of building something that compounds in value long after you've set it in motion.
- Competitive executive compensation package commensurate with scope and experience
- Full benefits: medical, dental, vision, and 401K with company match
- Company-provided life insurance, short-term and long-term disability
- Direct access to executive and C-suite leadership — your seat at the table is real
- A new function to define: the strategy, the team, the systems, and the standard are yours to build
- National operational scope with 10% travel — enough exposure to the field to understand what you're sourcing for
A Direct Note to the Right Executive.
If you've spent your career inside organizations where procurement was already mature — where the frameworks existed, the contracts were inherited, and your job was to maintain rather than create — this opportunity will challenge you in a different way.
But if you've been the person who built the procurement playbook, who negotiated the enterprise agreements from a standing start, who developed the team and the technology and the governance that other people now take for granted — you know exactly what this moment represents.
DuraServ is ready for a VP of Procurement who is ready to build. The question is whether you're ready to leave something behind that will outlast your tenure.
Leave an undisputed legacy. This is where it starts.
