About the Role
- The Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the consistent quality of incoming child parts for speaker manufacturing by following Harman specific methods of incoming quality control. Supplier quality concern analysis, supplier performance monitoring and and continuous improvement initiatives. The Supplier quality engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams including production, in process quality, design and development quality to maintain and improve product quality and customer satisfaction. Also responsible for QMS documentation and customer audits
What You Will Do
- Ensure quality of incoming goods by correct practice of Harman incoming quality control practices.
- Timely lot clearance in SAP system.
- Work with supplier for improvement of part quality.
- Monitor key process parameters and quality metrics to ensure compliance with internal and customer specifications.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for supplier part related quality issues.
- Ensure supplier documentations like PDIR, Layout inspection reports, RM test reports, periodic test reports as per plan
- Conduct layered process audits (LPA) to ensure adherence to standards.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to improve acoustic performance, cosmetic quality, and durability of speaker child parts when required
- Interface with suppliers including overseas suppliers on quality-related topics as needed.
- Maintain documentation in line with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Fluent in drawing reading for mechanical, electrical and electronic parts.
- Knowledge of speaker child parts.
- Strong communication skills

What Makes You Eligible
- Diploma degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electronics.
- 3+ years of experience in quality with focus on supplier quality preferably in audio electronics or Speaker Manufacturing process
- Strong knowledge of quality tools: 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, SPC, MSA, FMEA, Control Plans.
- Experience of handling measurement equipment. (CMM, VMM, Vernier, Micrometer, height gage, PP).
- Understanding of special equipment used for speaker child parts will be a strong positive.
- Proficient in MS Office, Handling of Profile Projectors, and Universal testing machines.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
