Job description

Company Overview:

Our client is a profitable SaaS company with a mature mobile app that’s central to customers’ day-to-day work. A new version of the mobile app is rolling out, and the team is expanding to support ongoing feature development and improvements.

Your Role:

You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining mobile features in a React Native application. The work is product-focused: turning requirements into screens, flows, and states that behave predictably on iOS and Android.

Most development happens in React Native. When platform capabilities are required, you’ll work with native iOS/Android modules (for example, camera, storage, or background behavior) to support core workflows.

You’ll own mobile features end to end—from implementation to release—and iterate based on real usage.

You’ll:

  • Build and evolve mobile features in React Native

  • Implement multi-step workflows and data-entry flows

  • Handle loading, retry, and error states clearly in the UI

  • Maintain and extend native modules

  • Debug and fix issues found in production

  • Review code and contribute to shared mobile patterns

  • Ship changes regularly using feature flags

You Bring:

  • 3+ years building and shipping production mobile apps with React Native

  • Proficiency in TypeScript or modern JavaScript and mobile architecture patterns

  • Experience writing or maintaining native iOS / Android code (Swift/Objective-C, Kotlin/Java)

  • Familiarity building pipelines, and submitting releases to App Store and Google Play

  • Strong debugging skills and experience with production monitoring tools (e.g., Bugsnag, Sentry)

  • Ability to design clear UI flows from product requirements

  • Comfort owning features through release and follow-up fixes

Nice to Have

  • Experience with camera, media, or file-system integrations

  • Experience with apps used outside ideal network conditions

  • Familiarity with staged rollouts or feature flags

  • Experience supporting regulated or enterprise customers in field environments

What’s Offered:

  • Monthly compensation in USD, contractor model. Rate based on experience, scope of ownership, and location (U.S., Canada, or Latin America).

  • Flexible paid time off, plus local holidays.

  • Fully remote, async-first culture with meaningful overlap across the Americas.

  • Senior, hands-on peers who share responsibility for architecture and product decisions.

  • Long-term opportunity at a profitable, stable company focused on product quality and steady growth.
