Requirements:

  • Review and resolve insurance claims and reconcile invoices to ensure accurate risk assessment and payments
  • Conduct data analysis and report results to management; manage leases, agreements and other contracts for the assigned units; provide recommendations for changes as necessary
  • Serve as liaison between cross-divisional teams and vendors; mentor other staff and assist with various projects; may focus on department or location-specific functions

Job description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Insurance Analyst II provides support to manage and mitigate the company's expose to general and/or professional liability claims in support of the assigned function(s).  The incumbent is responsible for evaluating and resolving general insurance claims in conjunction with the company's contractual insurance obligations.  The Insurance Analyst II assists in the identification and implementation processes of diverse insurance coverage for the assigned business unit(s).

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilize applied knowledge of insurance in the facilitation of underwriting processes to support the assigned business unit(s); collaborating with cross-divisional teams as necessary to ensure data accuracy and integrity of compiled information.
  • Maintain applicable database within the assigned function(s) in compliance with company policies and procedures, Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and other regulatory requirements; assisting in the preparation and distribution of requested database reports.
  • Review and resolve insurance claims on a routine basis to ensure the risk assessment(s) of the company is accurately reflected.
  • Review and reconcile various invoices to ensure accurate payment on a routine basis.
  • Conduct data analysis as requested; reporting results to management for review.
  • Collaborate with cross-divisional teams to manage leases, agreements and other contracts for the assigned business unit(s); providing recommendations for change as necessary.
  • May act as a liaison between cross-divisional teams and vendors to support the ongoing business needs of the assigned business unit(s) as required.
  • Mentor other staff as applicable.
  • Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree highly preferred
