Job Description:

The UPS Store, Inc. Social Media Specialist assists the team with planning and executing effective, measurable social media strategies to support companywide projects and initiatives. This role works directly with the company’s social media agency to ensure initiatives, campaigns and day-to-day duties stay on target.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assesses brand sentiment on The UPS Store social media channels, including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and TikTok
  • Assists in the creation, editing, and posting of content across 5,300+ The UPS Store Facebook, Google My Business and Apple Listings
  • Writes and/or edits external and internal communications for social content
  • Assists efforts of agency members and cross-functional teams to ensure successful social media campaign completion
  • Performs editorial and creative reviews of content to ensure deliverables meet The UPS Store brand and style guidelines, as well as defined objectives
  • Communicates with key project stakeholders regularly to provide updates on project status
  • Works and engages with The UPS Store franchise network daily to assist with social media activities and the management of their channels
  • Develops social media training tools for the franchise network

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Experience and interest in a variety of social media platforms.
  • Experience creating social media content for a brand/business.
  • Identifies cultural issues that may impact business needs or customer solutions.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, internally and externally.
  • Experience in a social media agency, or corporate in-house social media function.
  • Experience in editing and publishing web content. Knowledge of HTML a plus.

Requirements

  • Possesses a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a social media agency, or corporate in-house social media function.
  • This position will be remote, but preferred location is San Diego, CA or Greenville, SC.
