Description  

The Retirement Educator II is responsible for delivering high-quality financial education services to defined contribution and defined benefit plan participants and clients of Milliman. They will conduct in-person and virtual group meetings and individual consultations. The Retirement Educator I will assist in developing communication strategies, PowerPoint presentations, coordinate meeting deliverables, facilitate logistics and provide daily/monthly reporting. The ideal candidate will have retirement and investment knowledge but will not provide participants investment advice. Up to 75% travel is anticipated at various times throughout the year.

What You Will Do 

In this role, you will: 

  • Lead virtual and on-site employee education meetings on retirement planning, investing, budgeting, debt management, and overall financial wellness.
  • Meet individually with employees to assist them in financially preparing for retirement, including enrolling in the retirement plan, completing retirement account transactions, as well as answering questions related to their account(s) via the participant website. Investment advice will not be provided. 
  • Become knowledgeable about the client's retirement plan(s) in preparation of meetings. Be able to answer participant questions accurately and concisely.  
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations and promotional materials using our master templates and coordinate pre-meeting logistics with the client. 
  • Master retirement planning strategies and be able to communicate them to plan participants.  
  • Efficiently use Milliman’s retirement planning tools designed for plan participants to assist them in preparing for retirement and understanding investment strategies. 
  • Communicate with the Relationship Manager summarizing meeting results and any areas for client service enhancements.  
  • Develop strong client relationships and help to encourage ongoing education projects. 
  • Coordinate own travel arrangements and meeting logistics with clients. Show up prepared for all scheduled meetings at least 30 minutes in advance. 
  • Submit daily and monthly reports for audit purposes and to document client results. 
  • Assist with other HR Communication initiatives as requested. 
  • Ensure final work products are high quality and provided in a timely fashion. 
  • Take an active role in pursuing continued education. 

What We Are Looking For 

Required Professional Qualifications 

  • Experience in understanding employer sponsored retirement plans is required
  • 3+ years of financial services experience, including direct client interaction
  • Bachelors degree 
  • Power Point expertise  
  • Webinar Platforms  
  • Public Speaking expert  
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time 

        Preferred Professional Qualifications 

        • Bilingual Spanish
        • FINRA/CRPC certification 
        • Experience with innovative technology for producing and hosting short videos or podcasts is a plus. 
        • Travel will be throughout the US, so living near a major international airport a plus.

          Personal Qualifications 

          • Proven ability to present complex topics in a clear, compelling, and actionable way.
          • Experience with qualified retirement plans, investment products, and general personal finance concepts.
          • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
          • Works well within a team environment and takes ownership of personal work product 
          • Proficiency in the use of computers and other general office equipment  Microsoft Suite
          • Attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills 
          • Able to productively respond to change 
          • Excellent organization and time management skills 

          Location 

          This role is based out of the Milliman office in Dallas, Texas, but candidates hired into this role may work remotely anywhere in the US. The expected application deadline for this job is July 31, 2026. 

          Compensation 

          The overall salary range for this role is $59,200 - $109,020. For candidates residing in: 

          • Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York City, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia the salary range is $68,080 - $109,020.  
            • All other locations the salary range is $59,200 - $94,800. 

            A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc.
