The Lead Salesforce Developer is a technical and organizational leader within the company's engineering organization, responsible for guiding architecture, strategy, and delivery of Salesforce-based solutions across the company's platform. This role directly manages and guides Senior and Mid-Level Salesforce Developers, driving capabilities that support sports broadcast labor staffing, scheduling, payroll, and invoicing workflows.


General Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee Salesforce development across core engineering pods: Scheduling, Event Execution, Payroll & Invoicing, and Pricing & Quoting
  • Own the enterprise architecture and deliver scalable, well-documented solutions on Salesforce (Apex, LWC, Flows, advanced integrations) that minimize technical debt
  • Partner closely with Product Managers and engineering leadership on roadmap prioritization, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and execution velocity
  • Establish, optimize, and enforce DevOps and SDLC standards, including Bitbucket, Gearset, AccelQ, and automated CI/CD sandbox management protocols
  • Manage, mentor, and coach Senior and Mid-Level Salesforce Developers, fostering career growth and establishing elite code review and testing standards
  • Lead the technical execution of M&A acquisition integrations from a data, system, and Salesforce architecture perspective
  • Collaborate strategically with the CTO on AI/automation initiatives, core third-party integrations, and the long-term platform capability roadmap
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 8+ years of Salesforce development experience (Apex, LWC, Visualforce, SOQL), with at least 2–3 years of proven experience leading, mentoring, or managing engineering teams
  • Elite mastery of enterprise Salesforce platform architecture, including multi-org governance limits, security paradigms, and complex data model design
  • Deep experience designing and managing Salesforce DX, Gearset (or equivalent deployment tooling), and advanced CI/CD release management pipelines
  • Proven ability to orchestrate technical delivery and allocate engineering resources across multiple concurrent enterprise workstreams
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills; confident translating complex technical roadmaps into business value for non-technical executive leadership
  • Salesforce Certifications: Platform Developer II required; Application Architect or System Architect credentials (Highly Preferred)
  • Enterprise experience with HCM, staffing, payroll engines, or workforce management platforms (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with sports media, broadcast production, or live events industry dynamics (Preferred)
  • Direct exposure to deploying AI/automation tooling within Salesforce ecosystems (Preferred)

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000 to $200,000, plus benefits as applicable. This position is not eligible for stocks and/or stock options. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The compensation information displayed on each job posting reflects the range for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
