Microsoft Purview Information Protection / Entra ID / Microsoft Defender - Customer Engineer

Overview:

JDA TSG has immediate opportunities for a Microsoft Purview Expert with deep expertise in Purview Information Protection, Copilot for Security, Entra ID, and Microsoft Defender for M365 to join our team as Customer Engineers (CE). A CE’s time is dedicated to working with some of the largest and most sophisticated organizations in the world, typically Fortune 1000 enterprises. In this role, you will be responsible for customer satisfaction, deployment, adoption, optimization, and support of Purview Information Protection, Copilot for Security, Entra ID, and Microsoft Defender for M365 

Customer Engineers serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients, helping organizations strengthen their data security posture, identity governance, compliance frameworks, and threat protection capabilities across complex hybrid and cloud environments. The ideal candidate combines strong technical depth with consultative communication skills and a passion for solving complex security and compliance challenges at scale.

What You Will Do:

• Partner with customers to assess, architect, and implement Microsoft Purview Information Protection, Copilot for Security, Entra ID, and Microsoft Defender for M365 solutions aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) across Microsoft Security, Microsoft Purview Information Protection, Microsoft Copilot for Security, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft Defender technologies.
• Lead technical workshops, discovery sessions, architecture reviews, deployment planning, and implementation engagements.
• Provide guidance on Zero Trust security architecture and modern information protection strategies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to identity, compliance, governance, endpoint security, and information protection.
• Deliver strategic recommendations and operational best practices to improve customer security posture and compliance maturity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, delivery, and customer success teams to drive successful engagements.
• Contribute to technical documentation, architecture standards, operational runbooks, and best practices.
• Stay current with evolving Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity technologies and roadmap updates.

Who You Are:

• 10-15+ years of experience supporting enterprise Microsoft cloud security and compliance solutions.
• 7+ years if deep expertise in:
  • Microsoft Purview Information Protection Information Protection
  • Microsoft Security for Microsoft 365
  • Microsoft Copilot for Security
  • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
  • Microsoft Defender for Microsoft 365
• Strong understanding of:
  • Zero Trust Architecture
  • Identity & Access Management (IAM)
  • Cloud Security & Governance
  • Data Security & Compliance Frameworks
  • Microsoft 365 Security Ecosystem
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers in consulting, engineering, or customer-facing technical roles.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and presentation skills.

Posted Salary Range: USD $95,000.00 - USD $110,000.00 /Yr.
