  • Proficiency with monitoring/incident tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Splunk, AppDynamics, ServiceNow) and scripting/coding in Python, Java, Perl, Bash, or similar.

Requirements:

  • Monitor and maintain all software products and production environment using available tools; document process changes and format updates.
  • Administer all NOC-owned tools/applications including scripting, customizations, report building, alert modifications, automations and maintenance.
  • Process documentation (KB) and user/system impacted incident management/resolutions across multiple IT groups, including disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Mentor/train team members and communicate effectively with customers, vendors, management and peers to minimize risk and improve service quality.

Position Summary:

 

The primary job function of the NOC Administrator II is to monitor/maintain the operational, performance and integrity of the company’s enterprise Infrastructure.  This would include enterprise software/applications (including NOC team software/applications), hardware and network efficiency in a 7x24 on premise data center environment. Will also be responsible for definition of process road maps (KB), change management validations, user/system impacted incident management and resolutions.

State specific pay scales for this role are as follows:

$76,829 to $142,213 (CA, NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA)

$69,845 to $129,284 (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME)

$62,860 to $116,356 (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV)

The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location.

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions:

Monitor and maintain all software products and production environment on available tools; provide documentation for process changes and format updates; Administration of all NOC owned tools/applications including scripting, customizations, report building, alert modifications, automations and maintenance; Minimize risk and exposure to system security and business interruptions on company's infrastructure; actively participate in disaster recovery and BCP events. Some scripting, coding and/or technical certificates may be needed to achieve certain jub functions, so willingness to expand technical attributes will be expected.

Qualifications:

Education:

Minimum:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education or work experience

Experience:

Minimum:

  • 2-5 years of Network Operations Center (NOC) experience, applications, and related technologies

Preferred: 

  • 1+ years of experience integrated with CI/CD.
  • 1+ years working side by side with DevOps.

  • Enterprise level process and escalations
  • Some Scripting/coding in Python, Java, Perl, C, BASH, Shell, and
  • ITIL Foundations certifications (V3 or V4)
  • Familiarity with Data Center Firelife systems, CRAC/HAVC units, UPS’, and Data Center Generators
