The Multimedia Programming Specialist designs, builds, deploys, and maintains multimedia courseware on a variety of computer platforms as well as tablets and other approved mobile devices. Using storyboards as basis of design, uses a variety of authoring systems or web technologies to implement training content for presentation to trainees. Designs and develops user-interface features, site animation, and special-effects elements.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.
Portfolio: A strong, curated portfolio showcasing previous interactive projects, animations, or video work.
Software: Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition) is generally required.
Languages: Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML 5, CSS3, C++, or ActionScript.
Platforms: Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) and eLearning authoring software like Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate.
3D/AR/VR: Experience in 3D modeling, animation software, and VR/AR development (Unity/Unreal).
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Integration: Combine audio, video, and graphic elements to produce finished, high-quality digital content.
Application Development: Design and code interactive multimedia applications, games, or simulations.
Programming & Scripting: Utilize languages such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, or ActionScript to develop interactive features.
Technical Optimization: Optimize media for various devices, including mobile, web, and specialized interactive platforms.
Troubleshooting: Test functionality and performance, resolving issues in multimedia products.
Collaboration: Work with designers, content creators, and marketers to ensure products meet branding and technical standards.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Design, Computer Science, or a closely related field preferred and three to five (3-5) years of previous experience in a similar role focusing on interactive media production.

The estimated pay range for this role is $33-$38/hour, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
