Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Informatics or Computer Science (or equivalent) with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive Epic EHR experience (Epic Radiant or Cupid; Epic Ambulatory) with at least 3 years in a similar role; supervisory/team lead experience preferred.
  • Professional certification in at least one: Cupid or EpicCare Ambulatory; Radiant or Order Transmittal certification desired.
  • Strong communication, data-driven decision-making, and Microsoft Excel proficiency; ability to work remotely in a cross-functional environment.

Requirements:

  • Lead, train, and manage the Epic Radiant/Cupid/Lumens/Ambulatory Orders Maintenance Analyst team, including performance development and onboarding.
  • Own stakeholder engagement by managing member relationships, developing workflows, solving complex issues, and ensuring timely ticket responses.
  • Collaborate with Epic application teams, pharmacy stakeholders, and IT leadership to ensure seamless integration and drive process improvements.
  • Monitor system performance, oversee issue escalation (Help Desk), ensure regulatory/compliance adherence and SLAs, and lead ongoing optimization initiatives.

Position Overview

The Supervisor, Epic Clinical Diagnostics Applications Maintenance leads, trains, and motivates the Epic Radiant, Cupid, Lumens, Ambulatory Orders Maintenance Analyst team to achieve positive outcomes and continuously add value to our collaborative. This role involves managing projects, prioritization, providing regular feedback for individual development, and training, taking the lead on communicating and mitigating issues and risks, measuring, and ensuring high quality service. The Supervisor will continually assess and make improvements to the system and processes to improve efficiency while judiciously managing the resources of OCHIN and our Members (Service Areas) to continually improve the quality of processes, internal operations, and outcomes to our members.


Essential Duties

  • Team Development: Leading, motivating, developing skills, and measuring to positive outcomes for a team of analysts, meeting both organizational and member needs
  • Manage Member Relationships & Support: support Manager and Team in developing effective workflows, solving, and mitigating complex issues and maintaining valuable relationships
  • Nurture Partner Learning: Collaborating with organization leadership to ensure timelines and deliverables are realistic and actionable
  • Ensuring that new staff are on-boarded in a methodical measured manner that prepares them for success
  • Tracking and measuring team, project, and individual performance goals
  • Assist manager with maintaining regular responsiveness on tickets, working with manager on any staff that require coaching beyond standard
  • Process Improvement: Identify, assess, and implement improvements in system workflows and operations.
  • Help Desk Support & Issue Resolution: Serve as an escalation point for complex issues, collaborating with the Help Desk and Product teams.
  • Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure adherence to industry regulations, safety protocols, and best practices in accordance with each states pharmacy requirements.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Partner with Epic application teams, pharmacy stakeholders, and IT leadership to ensure seamless integration and communication.
  • Resource Planning: Develop and evolve resource allocation strategies to ensure appropriate staffing for ongoing and future projects.
  • System Monitoring & Reporting: Regularly review system performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend enhancements.
  • Adhere to and hold team accountable to all OCHIN policies, including go-live support, Critical Incident reporting, and JIRA SLAs and SLEs
  • Develop and evolve effective resource planning processes to ensure proactive staffing of incoming and

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Healthcare Informatics or Computer Science preferred) or a combination of college education and 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in similar or relevant, Epic Radiant or Cupid Analyst role or Epic Ambulatory with 1 year of supervisory or team lead experience being highly desirable
  • Must have extensive experience working in Epic EHR
  • Work history in Healthcare IT is required
  • Required certification in at least one of the following: Cupid or EpicCare Ambulatory Required
  • Desired certifications include Radiant or Order Transmittal
  • Experience supporting Lumens-enabled imaging workflows or other non-radiology diagnostic imaging within Epic is nice to have 
  • Experience supporting imaging and/or other diagnostic services such as EKG, Cardiac Monitoring or Stress tests
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end diagnostic workflows, including ordering, scheduling touchpoints, result routing, and clinical impact
  • Lab operations background is desired.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills – able to communicate with both application and technical team members, as well as end users.
  • Consistently acts with integrity and accountability.
  • Process and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on data-driven decision making.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and solution oriented.


Base Pay Overview
OCHIN uses broadened pay bands to support equitable and market-aligned compensation practices. The final offer will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant skills, certifications, education, experience, training, responsibilities, internal equity, and market data.


Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

  • Constant interpersonal skills, teamwork, and customer service. Frequent creativity, mentoring, presentations/teaching. Occasional decision making and independent judgment or action.
  • Reading, speaking, writing, and understanding English.
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.
  • This position requires a virtual home-office environment, working remotely and will require that all employees be on camera for all virtual meetings.
  • The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and mobile devices.
  • Travel is required 20-25% to support OCHIN’s business requirements for Go-Live installations or training which may require travel by air, vehicle, or train.

Work Location and Travel Requirements

OCHIN is a 100% remote organization with no physical corporate office location. Employees work remotely from home and many of our positions also support our member organizations on-site for new software installations. Nationwide travel is determined based on OCHIN business needs. Please inquire during the interview process about travel requirements for this position.
