  • Act as a readiness checkpoint before project commencement; validate scopes, deliverables, budgets, success criteria, and handover documentation; align Account Managers, Project Managers, Engineers and stakeholders for smooth startup
  • Coordinate and deliver small technical projects end-to-end under guidance from senior project managers; own day-to-day client communication, progress tracking, risk/issue/dependency/change management, and maintain project documentation
  • Set up and maintain projects within HALO, including budgets, workstreams, purchasing/approvals, internal planning, prioritization, and governance/compliance

Job description

Position Summary

The Associate Technical Project Manager supports the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of technical projects across the business. This role combines resource scheduling, project readiness assurance, project coordination, and hands-on delivery of smaller technical initiatives. Working closely with Project Managers, Account Managers, Engineers, and other delivery stakeholders, the Associate Technical Project Manager contributes to project governance, enhances delivery efficiency, and ensures consistent, high-quality client experience.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am – 5 pm UK Time

Key Responsibilities

Resource & Project Scheduling

  • Manage centralized scheduling of technical resources across Professional Services.
  • Maintain and optimize resource calendars, ensuring accurate visibility of availability and workload.
  • Allocate resources based on skills, availability, and project priorities while resolving conflicts and maximizing utilization.
  • Support scheduling of delivery activities such as deployments and onsite engagements.

Project Initiation & Readiness

  • Act as a readiness checkpoint before project commencement.
  • Validate that all required information is complete, including scopes, deliverables, budgets, success criteria, and internal handover documentation.
  • Ensure alignment between Account Managers, Project Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders for smooth project start-up.

Small-Scale Technical Project Delivery

  • Coordinate and deliver small technical projects end-to-end under guidance from senior project managers.
  • Own day-to-day client communication, progress tracking, and status updates.
  • Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests in line with defined governance.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
  • Increase delivery ownership progressively with experience.

Project Coordination & Administration

  • Set up and maintain projects within HALO, including budgets, workstreams, and financial structures.
  • Coordinate project-related purchasing and internal approvals.
  • Support internal planning, prioritization, and portfolio visibility.
  • Track project performance and ensure documentation, reporting, and governance standards are met.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience.
  • Project coordination or project management training is beneficial.
  • Willingness to complete Microsoft AZ-900 and MS-900 certifications if not already completed.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in project coordination, scheduling, or operational delivery, ideally within an IT or technical services environment.
  • Exposure to Microsoft 365, Azure, infrastructure, or cloud services is advantageous. Experience with resource planning, scheduling, or procurement is beneficial.
  • Strong interest in developing technical knowledge and in using automation or AI tools to improve efficiency.
  • Highly organized with strong scheduling skills, clear communication, and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities to deadlines. Structured, process-driven, professional, and resilient under pressure.
  • Desirable attributes include commercial awareness, strong relationship-building skills, and a logical, methodical approach to work.
