Job Description:

GDIT is looking for a Strategic Information Technology (IT) Analyst and Task Manager to support strategic and operational analysis of the information technology (IT) and cyber environment for the USCENTCOM Information Technology Services (CITS) Program supporting the U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) Command, Control, Communications, and Computer Systems (CCJ6) Directorate, USCENTCOM HQ in Tampa, FL.

HOW A STRATEGIC INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Strategic IT Analyst for the CITS Program, you will be responsible for providing strategic analysis services to support the transformation, optimization, and governance of the IT enterprise.  Areas of Focus include:

  • Provide subject matter expertise and recommendations supporting the  development of IT Enterprise strategies, policies, plans and frameworks to guide the advancement of a data-centric IT Enterprise. 

  • Research and analyze strategic and operational documents to capture and incorporate key elements into Command and CCJ6  IT enterprise governance products. 

  • Assess strategic alignment of digital enterprise governance activities and transformation initiatives through engagements with DoD/DoW, whole-of-government, private sector, and international mission partners. 

  • Support IT investments processes to maximize value and return on investment.

  • Support Joint Force Requirements Process (JFRS) activities to include: participation in Command, Control, Communications and Computers (C4) / Cyber functional capability boards, C4/Cyber Integrated Priority List nomination development, analysis of Joint Urgent Operational Need Statements, Joint Emergent Operational Need Statements.

  • Assist with management of tasks assigned to the CCJ6 Directorate and the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) via the Enterprise Task Management System 2 (ETSM2) on classified and unclassified networks. 

  • Complete assigned tasks via ETMS2.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and staffing of executive-level briefings, information papers, talking points, and other artifacts.

  • Support Key Leader Engagement activities.

  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and workgroups.

  • Maintain key customer relationships in support of strategic and operational activities.

  • Provide input to/or submit daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly reports.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education and/or Certifications:
Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in Management or Information Resource Management is preferred, or a related field of study. (Additional or related IT work experience in lieu of a BS degree will be considered.)

  • 5+ years of related IT Strategic Analysis/Planning work experience.

  • No other IT cert is required, but an ITIL Foundation cert is preferred.

Desired:

  • Prefer a Master’s Degree with a focus in Management, Information Resource

  • Management, or a related field of study and 8 years of experience.

  • Prefer IT work experience in a Zero Trust, Cloud and ServiceNow environment.

  • Prefer an ITIL Foundation Certification.

Required Skills:

  • Possess strong critical thinking skills and understanding of Task Management Analysis, and general defense/military structure and staff organization.

  • Work independently or in small group to analyze requirements, prepare courses of action and provide recommendations.

  • Possess ability to analyze tasks for specified requirements, suspense dates, and assign to appropriate staff elements as a lead and/or supporting role.

  • Possess ability to work closely with stakeholders to understand strategic and operational Strategic Analysis, Critical Thinking, Cross-Functional Collaboration and Business Improvement.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Combatant Command structure and mission set, with USCENTCOM structure and mission set preferred.

  • Knowledge and familiarity with USCENTCOM’s IT environment.

Clearance Requirement:

  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI clearance for this role.

  • U.S. Citizenship require for this role due to the TS/SCI clearance requirement.

  • Must be able to work on site. This is not a remote role.

The likely salary range for this position is $112,840 - $149,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
