Job description

We are looking for a Senior Account Executive I with a genuine interest in supporting local businesses to join our team.  As a Senior Account Executive I at Favor, your primary responsibility will be to act as the liaison between Favor and our Merchant partners.  You’re a seasoned Account Executive with demonstrated success building long term relationships and understand your clients needs. Becoming an expert on our products and services, you’ll call on local and regional merchants . You’ll share your sales expertise with the Favor Sales team to help the business achieve its objectives as well as collaborate with internal teams  to improve processes, ensure we meet the merchant’s expectations and to provide a great overall experience for each merchant

At Favor we are looking for an authentic and compassionate salesperson with genuine interest in supporting local merchants to join our team as a Senior Account Executive I. You are tenacious, passionate, curious, innovative, humble, and a natural hustler. You are responsible for calling on local and regional merchants and building relationships to get them featured on the Favor Merchant platform and supported through our Last Mile Delivery products. The Senior Account Executive I is a natural leader, you see the big picture and work together with your team to close the right accounts. Senior AE I’s have a natural ability to motivate and inspire others to tackle their markets with confidence. You influence the entire team to exceed goals with your natural enthusiasm and optimism for the business overall, putting Favor first and sharing your keys to success with your colleagues.


What You'll Do:
  • Cultivate new and existing leads in your designated region by cold calling businesses in-person and on the phone.
  • Maintain and nurture an active pipeline of potential merchant partners and qualify inbound leads and prospects via phone and email.
  • Identify decision makers and ask questions to uncover and understand a merchant’s needs and determine how to best partner with them.
  • Hold demonstrations highlighting the value and return on investment Favor provides with an end goal of securing the sale.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from finding new leads, negotiating terms. drafting proposals, sending contracts and securing a sale.
  • Report and record all sales activities in our web-based CRM system.
  • Draft a sales approach for your territory for both outside and inside sales and create a business plan to share with your Regional Sales Manager.
  • Spend a minimum of 2 days each week in your market meeting business owners and decision makers in-person.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to improve processes and support the success of new merchant partners.
  • Proactively identify potential opportunities for process improvement or improved sales results and share them with sales leadership.
  • Consistently achieve quarterly and yearly predetermined sales goals and quotas.
  • Respond quickly to concerns or questions, and resolve issues to the customer’s satisfaction to ensure high quality customer service and maintain the Favor’s reputation.
  • Display advanced knowledge of sales functions as demonstrated through performance.
  • Utilize a highly customer-focused, consultative, data-driven sales approach.

  • Achieve and consistently exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.
  • Show expertise in the sales function and through performance.
  • Mentor other Sales Members and support Regional Manager with projects and occasional manager duties.
  • With direction from Regional Sales Manager, execute weekly team motivation plans, exercises, and “Paint the Town Blue” days as assigned.
  • Work with territory AEs to build relationships with regional merchants.
  • Knowledgeable Expert of all Favor Merchant Product lines to highlight the value of  Favor and how we can support each merchant in achieving their business goals
  • Expert Understanding of Favor Business Ecosystem
  • Analyze data to assist with understanding merchant issues, demonstrations, and negotiation strategy.

  • Skills You Have:
  • Bachelor's degree or comparable formal training, certification, and/or work experience
  • 3+ years experience as an Account Executive, or similar sales/customer service role
  • Demonstrated experience successfully executing full lifecycle sales process in person and over the phone
  • Working knowledge of utilizing data insights from market research as a part of sales and negotiating principles
  • Previous experience utilizing a Sales CRM (like Salesforce)
  • Time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate via phone and email (both internally and externally).
  • Demonstrated experience creating and facilitating presentations.
  • Proven ability to build lasting relationships.

  • Confident in any new products we offer and continue to build product knowledge to become an expert in selling to multiple customer types and situations. Able  to share tips and success stories with others. A trailblazer of new product adoption and can help lead the team to succeed in hitting goals.
  • Regularly provide actionable feedback around improvements to update information, content or tools we use that would help our team sell more effectively based on your prospect interactions.
  • Well versed in the sales data that's provided to you. Understand the importance of being metric driven and take it upon yourself to create additional data if needed to help drive better sales results across the team.

    Where you'll work: This role can be hybrid or remote, depending on the team member’s location in Texas. If you live in Austin, Texas, we ask that you work from home roughly three days per week and work at our HQ for the remaining work days. If you live in a different city in Texas, you will primarily work from home, with the opportunity to travel to Austin for company-wide events.
